Here at Emmaus Church, one of our great passions is to share the glorious good news of the Gospel with our community. We believe Jesus has shown us his grace in order that we might show it to others as well, living as His ambassadors among our friends, family, and neighbors.
One of the ways we actively do this is through Serve the City, an ongoing ministry where we seek to build relationships and share the truth of Jesus to our neighbors immediately around the church.
This semester, we are in the process of planning some days for our church to come together and serve our neighbors at Eagle Creek. If you would like to be notified when the dates are finalized sign up here.
As a church, we also partner with several gospel-centered organizations in Gwinnett and Hall counties in an effort to reach people with the good news about Jesus. We are partnered with the North Gwinnett Co-Op, and we recently partnered with Christian Library International. These are wonderful organizations that God is using to reach people for the gospel and we are excited to partner with them.
Much of our local mission work is done through our Missional Community Groups. We call them “Missional” Community Groups because we want them to work together as a group to live missionally in the neighborhoods God has them. Currently, we have groups scattered throughout Gwinnett, Hall, and Forsyth counties. Our prayer is that God will bring His gospel to the people in these neighborhoods and use these MC groups to meet the needs in those particular areas.
We sincerely hope that you will consider volunteering in our ongoing efforts here at Emmaus Church to lovingly serve our neighbors here in our community! For more specific detailed information on how you can get involved today:
Here at Emmaus Church, we believe Jesus’s call to make disciples of all peoples includes not only our local neighbors here in Northeast Georgia but also our global neighbors in every tribe on the Earth. Therein, in a variety of ways, we seek to leverage our lives to make disciples globally through strategic partnerships, pastor trainings, short-term trips, and global church planting.
Emmaus is currently partnered with two communities globally: Kaihura, Uganda and Guatemala City, Guatemala. If you have any questions about our global mission work, you can contact Pastor Brian.
