Baptism

Your next step after beginning your relationship with Jesus

Baptism at Emmaus

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gives His followers the command to “make disciples of all nations.” He then gives two important steps in making disciples. The first step Jesus gives is to baptize these disciples. Here at Emmaus, we believe baptism is a vital step in your relationship with Jesus.

If you have recently put your faith in Jesus, or have been a believer for a long time, but have never been baptized, we would love to baptize you! To be baptized here at Emmaus Church you will need to attend the next Baptism Class. This class is designed for anyone who wants to be baptized ages middle school through adulthood. At the completion of this class you will select an upcoming date to be baptized and receive a free resource to help you in your spiritual growth. To sign up for the next class simply fill out this form!

If you are the parent of an elementary age child that desires to be baptized, your child will not need to attend class. Instead you will lead your child through an 8 week activity book called “What is a Christian?” This resource is designed to help you teach your child all about the basics of the Christian faith and what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Upon the completion of this resource, you will select an upcoming date for your child to be baptized. You will also receive another 8 week activity book called “I’m a Christian Now!” that will help you teach your child all about growing in their relationship with Jesus. This gives you, as the primary discipler of your child, 4 months of great discipleship content and fun activities for you and your child to complete together. To let us know about your child’s desire to be baptized and receive your free resources please fill out this form.
